A GOOD PLACE TO START

Less setup. More watching.

Use the Emby username and password Nic gave you. Your Plex login is for the sports website and Help board; it is not your Emby password.

Watch in your browser

  1. Open nicflix.nicmccool.com ↗.
  2. Choose Manual Login if your name is not shown.
  3. Enter your personal Emby username and password, then choose Sign In.
  4. Open Movies, TV Shows, or Live TV.

On a shared device, sign out when finished so watch history stays with the right person.

Connect an Emby app

  1. Install the official Emby app for your TV, phone, tablet, or streaming device.
  2. Choose Skip on Emby Connect, then Connect to Server or Add Server. Wording varies by app.
  3. Host / server address: https://nicflix.nicmccool.com
  4. If a separate port is requested, enter 443. Enable HTTPS / secure connection if shown.
  5. Choose Connect, then Manual Login and enter your Emby credentials.

This screenshot uses Emby Web's connection form. TV and mobile layouts differ, but the server settings are the same. Some clients may require a playback unlock or subscription.

Where are the games?

In Emby, open Live TV → Guide → NICFLIX Sports. Category controls vary by device. Channels appear when matched games fall within the live-now / next-12-hours window.

On NICFLIX Sports ↗, sign in with your approved Plex account and choose Add team. My teams personalizes your schedule; All followed teams shows the shared collection.

SIAC and other external viewing buttons open the broadcaster's website. They do not play through Emby.

Something isn't connecting?

Unable to reach server

Check the spelling, include https://, and use port 443—not 80 or 8096. Try the browser link above. If that also fails, post on the Help board.

My name isn't on the sign-in screen

Choose Manual Login. An account can be hidden from the list and still work normally.

Plex login works, but Sports says no access

Nic must enable your account under Control Room → Sports access. Creating an Emby account does not automatically grant Sports access.

What about my watched history?

Use your own account. Migration must map your Plex identity to your own Emby user; do not sign in as another household member.
